Welcome to the Wilderness Camp

The Wilderness Camp is the heart of the Autumn Holidays in Åre and is open in October. It’s located in Åre Park, near Åre square (or opposite the old station house, Bahnhof) if you arrive from the train station.

Tipis and tents open just as you arrive in Åre to celebrate the Autumn Holidays! We can already say it will be filled with activities, games, know-how, fairytales and more. As soon as the program is updated for 2025, you’ll find more details here.

The Wilderness Tipi

Learn how to make a fire, how to do wood carvings, tie knots and other tips and tricks from our outdoor guides.

Creative Workshop

Sharpen your imagination and dexterity in the Creative Workshop. Make handicrafts from prepared repurposed materials or less prepared dittos which allows your fantasy run free. Or sit down in a cosy corner with a book and just relax.

The Wilderness Café

Eat your prepared packed lunch or buy hamburgers, hot dogs, bananas with chocolate or cinnamon apples that you prepare over an open fire. And why not top that off with hot chocolate and whipped cream and something sweet? There are barbecue areas outdoors and under roof.

Inspiration
