<\/strong>Jump on the train somewhere between Malm\u00f6 and Uppsala. Your destination line heading towards Unders\u00e5ker, \u00c5re, Duved, \u00c5nn, Enafors and Storlien. Have a bite in the restaurant carriage on your way to Stockholm then let the train\u2019s chugging slowly cradle you through the night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>You\u2019ve arrived! If you booked a transfer to V\u00e5l\u00e5dalen, Trillevallen or Storulv\u00e5n, it\u2019s just a short trip left to your final destination. Otherwise, jump off here and let your long weekend begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 09:00<\/strong>
Start the day with breakfast or coffee at your favorite hotel or caf\u00e9, then plan your route with \u00c5re Trails<\/a>\u2014the digital guide to hiking in the \u00c5re mountains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wearing the appropriate clothes for the weather, it\u2019s time for today\u2019s adventure. Maybe a turn around Totthummeln (trail 213<\/a>) is on the list?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12:00<\/strong>
Lunch. If your trip has been around Totthummeln, stop in for lunch at one of the village\u2019s restaurants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14:00<\/strong>
Now's the time to stock up on trail snacks, food, and anything you may have forgotten before heading into the mountains. \u00c5re offers plenty of shops with everything you need<\/a> for your hiking adventure. If you'd rather travel light, you can also rent outdoor gear\u2014from hiking boots and jackets to tents\u2014at Outdoor Buddies<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving at a hotel, cottage or apartment. Repack and preparing for tomorrow\u2019s adventure. Take a load off and relax. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner. Choose from the village\u2019s restaurants<\/a>. Not everyone stays open during the autumn, but there\u2019s enough to try a new one every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day trip is to Mt. \u00c5reskutan. Here are some different options, but Mt. \u00c5reskutan\u2019s peak, weather permitting, is a great trip. Check out the weather on SkiStar\u2019s webb site<\/a> and trail variations here<\/a> before departing and count on a full day trip so bring some extra snacks for along the way. <\/p>\n\n\n

Depending on the trail you chose, you may be at the Kabinbanan Mountain Station by now. There\u2019s a heating station with toilets if you have a packed lunch and if not you can purchase something at Basecamp \u00c5reskutan<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forts\u00e4tt upp till \u00c5reskutans topp och Toppstugan<\/a>. Hembakta bullar, v\u00e5fflor och annat gott finns h\u00e4r p\u00e5 Sveriges h\u00f6gst bel\u00e4gna servering. <\/strong>Descent. There are a few different options to take you back to the village. You can follow the same trail you took to the top, spice it up and take a new trail back or give your knees a rest and take the cable car down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day trip 2. Let\u2019s take a turn towards Ull\u00e5dalen. The tour is called R\u00f6dkullerundan (trail 210<\/a>) and you can choose to take it directly from the village or take the chair lift from Hummeln and join in there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.30<\/strong>
Snack time. With a view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15:00<\/strong>
Buustamon Fj\u00e4llg\u00e5rd<\/a> opens. Stop for a coffee or something from the bar menu if you haven\u2019t pre-booked the mountain menu. If you have pre-booked the mountain menu, we hope you packed your swimwear for the sauna and outdoor pool is included.<\/p>\n\n\n
