Put both your body and mind to the test during Fj\u00e4llmaraton Week 25th of July to 1st of August<\/a>, where you can pick from a range of distances, whether it\u2019s the brisk 8-kilometre race or a full-on ultramarathon\u2014tailored perfectly to your mood and fitness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re looking to slow things down along the way, Fj\u00e4llmaraton Gastronomy<\/a> offers a different kind of mountain experience. The same fj\u00e4ll\u2014just at a different pace. Here, you move through the day with flavors as your companion, with food and drink served along the trail as the views open up around you. The distances, 24 or 42 kilometers, follow well-marked paths, and the open start time allows the experience to take its place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many choose to start early, letting each step become more pauses, more moments to breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n

We\u2019ve said it before\u2014and it\u2019s still true: the bike season in \u00c5re just keeps getting longer. In 2026, select lifts will keep spinning every day throughout August. More than 50 kilometers of trails are waiting\u2014winding through forest, rolling over roots, and leading to views that make you pause longer than planned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c5re Bike Park<\/a> is a natural highlight, but it\u2019s far from the whole story. You\u2019ll also find gravel roads that drift off into quiet corners, trails that push back, and scenic road routes that open up the mountains in a whole new way. Try gravel <\/a>or trails<\/a>\u2014or go for a road ride.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No bike of your own? No problem. Local rental shops throughout the village know their stuff and will help you find the perfect ride for the day. Many also offer guided tours and lessons. You'll find a list of all the bike shops on the bottom of the bike page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
