Twelve hours to ride, hike, or simply float to the top and let the views do the rest in the soft, golden light of Midsummer.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>The longest day of the year deserves to be celebrated.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cable Car and Stj\u00e4rnliften stay open until 21:00 for biking. Opportunities like this only come once a year, so make the most of one of summer\u2019s longest and brightest evenings in the mountains. VM8 lift closes at 16:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">World Cup Football on \u00c5reskutan<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening, Base Camp becomes one of Sweden\u2019s highest-altitude football viewing venues as Sweden\u2019s World Cup match is shown on a giant screen. To make it easier for spectators to attend, the Gondola will continue operating until 22:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Before boarding the Cable Car, you\u2019ll be informed whether space is available indoors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the venue is full, you\u2019re still welcome to ride up and enjoy the atmosphere outside. You\u2019ll be able to hear the match, even if you can\u2019t see the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Base Camp will be open throughout the evening, serving kebabs, falafel, hot dogs, and beer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that bicycles are not permitted in the Cable Car after 21:00.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kickoff: 19:00<br>Broadcast begins: 18:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FREE RIDES ALL DAY WITH THE CABLE CAR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 This year\u2019s celebration is extra special as Kabinbanan marks its 50th anniversary. Since the mid-1970s, the iconic cable car has carried visitors high above \u00c5reskutan, with sweeping mountain views all around.\u00a0<span style=\"color: initial; font-size: revert;\">Want to linger a little longer? You can always hike your way down after closing. The light hangs on for another hour or two, and the sun doesn\u2019t set until around 23:30. Everything is set for a long, luminous, and unforgettable day (and evening!) on the mountain.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<em>&nbsp;The longest day of the year, the summer solstice, officially falls on June 21. In \u00c5re, however, we\u2019re celebrating it a day early on June 20.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note that changes may occur to the information below.
