Try horseback riding at Åre Ridklubb
Curious about horseback riding? Here's your chance to give it a try! The friendly youth leaders at Åre Ridklubb invite kids and teens to meet the horses and enjoy a fun introductory riding lesson.
What to expect
The experience begins at the indoor riding arena, where the horses will be ready and waiting. During the 30-minute lesson, riders will learn the basics of horseback riding, including how to start, stop, and steer a horse through simple exercises.
Important: A parent or another responsible adult must be present throughout the activity and lead the horse. If a parent is very afraid of horses or has allergies, the experienced stable helpers can assist.
Who can take part?
This activity is designed for children and teens who want to try horseback riding. No previous experience is needed, and there's no minimum age. However, riders must be able to balance independently in the saddle.
What to wear and bring
- Comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty.
- Boots or sturdy shoes with a small heel. Sneakers are not suitable.
- Riding helmets and safety vests are available to borrow. Arrive a little early if you need to try on equipment.
