Après ski

For many skiers, no ski trip is complete without rounding off the day with music and a great atmosphere. Åre has long been a go-to destination for après-ski, where the fun continues well after the last run of the day.

Here you’ll find some of the village’s classic après-ski venues, with schedules for several of them further down the page.

Verandan

This classic venue has gone through a face lift for this season. They offer an après ski program Thursdays-Sundays with live music from some of Sweden’s best cover bands and DJs. Verandan Åre

Årehyddan

“Hyddan” offers their version of après that includes live music from their own “house band” with various guest artists, together with food and drinks. Årehyddan.

Fjällgården

Make a left turn from the slope right into this apres ski spot offering different live bands every week and often a troubadour on stage on Sundays. Fjällgården.

Tegetornet

In Tegefjäll, the best and easiest way to round off a day on the slopes is to park your skis outside Tegetornet and settle in for some classic après-ski with live music. If a music quiz is more your cup of tea, there’s that too. Here you’ll find this winter’s après-ski programme. Tegetornet.

Timmerstugan

Sunday is prime time for après ski at Timmerstugan where the ambience increase as the weather gets warmer and the bar moves outdoors. Timmerstugan.

Some quieter Après ski alternatives

If you prefer a more relaxed ambience, there are quieter options to find at, for example, Hotel Åregården, Hotel Granen or Werséns. At Boqueria you can recharge energy levels and add some delicious tapas to go with your drinks. A spring favorite is sipping on something juicy on the sunny and centrally located veranda at Mister French. Find your favorite place here.

Après ski for kids

As the ski day draws to a close, Valle takes to the stage and invites the youngest skiers to their very own après-ski. Expect dancing, music and plenty of fun, with kids singing along, getting moving and meeting Valle together with their new ski buddies. Kids’ après-ski takes place across all of Åre’s ski areas on different days of the week – a colourful end to the day that many little skiers start looking forward to before the lifts have even closed.
