Gästrappet

Eight at eight or early evening skiing is the tip for a truly fine, long piste experience in Gästrappet (piste 57 on the piste map). A long, wonderful slope that gives your thighs a real workout. To reach Gästrappet, take the VM8 lift up and keep right when you exit the lift.

Viksvängen onto Sadelleden to Högåsbacken

From the Sadelexpressen mountain station down to the valley station stretches one of the most enjoyable ski runs in Åre and Björnen. Follow the slope under the lift (piste 108) for a bit before cutting right under the lift (piste 109), following the traverse over to Högåsbacken (piste 110). Here, the surface often remains excellent well into the day.

Hamrebacken

The most enjoyable piste in Duved with perfect gradients for building speed, carving it out, building speed, carving it out, and so on. You'll make the best, big, enjoyable carving turns right after the top exit of the Hamreliften. You can reach Hamrebacken (piste 2 on the piste map) either by taking the Hamreliften T-bar lift up or the Linbanan cable car.

If you choose the Linbanan, keep right until the Hamreliften mountain station and then continue down Hamrebacken all the way to the Hamreliften valley station. It can also be shortened by turning left to the Linbanan valley station.

Tväråvalvsbacken

When the high zone is open and the Tväråvalvsliften lifts are running, Tväråvalvsbacken is the place to be (piste 83 on the piste map). A red, perfectly graded slope with only natural snow undulates beautifully down into the basin below Västerskutan and Åreskutan's peak.
