EMPTY PRESENCE by Christine Johanson

One Friday each month, a new art exhibition opens at STATION100! It's an opportunity to discover inspiring artwork, explore fresh perspectives, and start the weekend with a little art and creativity.

Each exhibition opens with a Friday evening reception and remains on display until the following month's opening, when a new exhibition takes its place.

EMPTY PRESENCE opens on Friday 23 October, with an opening reception from 17.30 to 20.00. Afterward, the exhibition can be visited during STATION100's regular opening hours.

About the artist

Photographer and artist Christine Johanson presents EMPTY PRESENCE, the second exhibition in this fall's collaboration between Åre Kulturarena and STATION100.

Based in Åre since 2010, Christine works with both digital and analog photography, with a particular interest in architecture and the spaces we create around us. Her work explores interiors and exteriors, rural settings and cityscapes, capturing everything from the built environments of the mountains to urban landscapes.

Alongside her photography, Christine creates collages that bring photographic elements together in new, often slightly surreal worlds.
