Vernissage at Station100
EMPTY PRESENCE – photography and collage by Christine Johanson
One Friday each month, STATION100 unveils a new art exhibition in collaboration with Åre Kulturarena. It's a chance to discover fresh perspectives, explore inspiring artwork, and kick off the weekend with a little art and creativity.
Each exhibition opens on Friday evening and remains on display until the following month's opening, when a new artist takes center stage.
The next exhibition opening takes place on Friday 23 October. After opening night, the artwork can be viewed during STATION100's regular opening hours.
About the artist – Christine Johanson
Photographer and artist Christine Johanson presents EMPTY PRESENCE, the second exhibition in this fall's collaboration between Åre Kulturarena and STATION100.
Based in Åre since 2010, Christine works with both digital and analog photography, with a particular interest in architecture and the spaces we create around us. Her work explores everything from interiors and exteriors to rural landscapes and bustling cities, capturing the built environments of the mountains as well as urban settings.
Alongside her photography, Christine creates collages that bring photographic elements together in new, often slightly surreal worlds.
Meet the artist at the opening on Friday 23 October, 17.30–20.00.
Stop by STATION100, explore the artwork, meet Christine, enjoy a beer, and have a chat!
Exhibition dates: 23 October–15 November 2026, closed Mondays.
