Most cafés in and around Åre make their own goods with organic ingredients, but, some have worked a little extra hard for the KRAV – certification.
Copperhill Mountain Lodge
The restaurant at Copperhill is KRAV – certified. Every Sunday afternoon they have a really nice ‘Swedish fika’ buffet with sandwiches, buns, cookies, cakes and pastries. A great choice for a relaxing Sunday to sit down with a well-filled plate. You have to try everything!

KRAV certified Åre Bageri offers tasty and healthy food and pastries made with care and from local products. Everything from the kitchen, bakery and patisserie is made from scratch on site so enjoy anything from Swedish fika to a full meal: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Åre Chokladfabrik
The Chocolate Factory in Undersåker is a magical place where their well-known pralines and sweets are made by hand, mostly with local products and Nordic tastes. Visit their café to enjoy good coffee, hot chocolates and lovely pastries.
Åredalens Folkhögskola
Åredalens Folkhögskola is located between Undersåker and Järpen and their main goal has been striving towards total sustainability. They are now KRAV – certified and continue to cook seasonal food from the ground up. They make their own breads, think climate-smart, buy locally produced, buy fair – trade and use organic and KRAV – labelled ingredients. They are open to everyone so go and enjoy a delicious organic breakfast or lunch from Monday to Friday. Tips – lunch is served every day of the week!

Åre Kafferosteri
The award winning coffee roastery Åre Kafferosteri have their production near the lake Helgesjön just east from Åre. They serve their delicious coffee in a coffee shop located right at the Åre town square. Åre Kafferosteri was awarded as the Coffee Bar of the Year 2019/2020 by White Guide and according to the guide they offer a ”perfect cappuccino”. Taste that! The food options are baked and prepared on site and made with ecological ingredients.
