Gravel Biking

Gravel biking in Åre is not just a way for cycle enthusiasts to avoid heavily trafficked roads. The attraction really lies in the beauty of gravel roads, as they wind their way along waters, through forests, over hills and down in valleys. Gravel biking is a way of testing your stamina while enjoying the beautiful scenery of gravel roads, of which there are plenty, in Åre.
A gravel bike looks a lot like a road bike at first glance, but it’s built to handle far more than smooth pavement. With wider tires, a more stable geometry, and room for rougher surfaces, it lets you leave the asphalt behind and keep rolling onto gravel roads without missing a beat.
