The weekend of First Advent – let Christmas begin

During the First Advent weekend, 27–29 November, Åre starts dressing up for Christmas. It’s a weekend for getting into the holiday spirit, finding those first Christmas gifts, and feeling winter draw closer.

At Åre Torg, people gather around the Christmas tree for mulled wine, gingerbread cookies, and a Christmas concert. Around the village, there’s even more to discover, with shops and local businesses hosting activities such as:

• candle dipping
• an open ski workshop
• knitting help

You’ll also find special offers and new arrivals for winter, with plenty of time in between for coffee and something sweet, a drink at the bar, and spontaneous get-togethers along the way.

Come for the Christmas spirit, stay for the buzz—and head home with even more excitement for winter than you arrived with. More events and activities will be added to the program along the way.
