
Celebrate Midsummer at Fröå Gruva
The historic copper mine of Fröå Gruva, dating back to the 18th century, is beautifully situated on the eastern side of Åreskutan. Surrounded by historic mining buildings, cottages, spoil heaps, cultivated plots, and grazing pastures, it provides a unique setting for a traditional Midsummer celebration filled with music and dancing. One of the highlights is the popular tractor ride from Björnen.
11.00 Tractor rides with flower-decorated wagons depart from the parking areas in Åre Björnen.
11.00–16.00 Bergstugan serves a traditional Midsummer buffet (advance booking required) as well as coffee and pastries.
Around 12.00 Dancing around the decorated maypole with Karin Eriksson and Per Wiklander.
