Lifts & Lift Passes Summer

Enjoy all that Åre has to offer during the summer season! Below we have gathered information about opening hours for Åre Bike Park and lifts, how to purchase your Lift Pass and more. However, remember to always check SkiStar’s website for current and updated information, weather and wind can change the planned schedule on a short notice.

The Summer season 2024 in Åre is during the period June 6 – September 29. During this period Åre Bike Park Crosscountry in Björnen and all the hiking trails are open daily.

Lift & Bike Park Opening Hours

June 6 – 9

Thursday – Sunday 10.00 – 16.00
Open lift: Stjärnliften
Open bike trails: Serpentinen, Lilla Blå, Kälkspåret, Flinbanan, Nelson, Tjärnis, DH-banan, Kanonröret, Slipery, Jannes, ÅBC-kicken


June 14 – 16

Friday – Sunday 10.00 – 16.00
Open lift: Stjärnliften
Open bike trails: Serpentinen, Lilla Blå, Kälkspåret, Flinbanan, Nelson, Tjärnis, DH-banan, Kanonröret, Slipery, Jannes, ÅBC-kicken


June 21 – 30

Daily 10.00 – 16.00
Open lifts: Stjärnliften, VM8:an & Kabinbanan (the cable car)
All trails for biking and hiking are open for the season


July 1 – August 18

Daily 10.00 – 16.00
Open lifts: Stjärnliften, VM8:an, Kabinbanan (the cable car) & Gondolen (the Gondola)
All trails for biking and hiking are open for the season


August 22 – September 29

Thursday – Sunday 10.00 – 16.00
Open lifts: Stjärnliften, VM8:an & Kabinbanan (the cable car)
All trails for biking and hiking are open for the season


Opening hours for Bergbanan (the funicular)

June 30 – August 20 daily 10.00-16.00 CET, every 20:th minute, 00, 20, 40

September 1 – 30 Friday-Saturday 10.00-16.00 CET, every 20:th minute, 00, 20, 40

Åre Trails is your digital guide to Åre’s trails and not just in central Åre, but in the surrounding areas as well. Go to aretrails.com and choose your trail for hiking, trail running, biking and more. You will be able to choose your trail by checking the level of difficulty, length, altitude and which type of activity you’d like to do.

Lift Pass for Åre Summer season

All lifts, including the Funicular and Cable car require a Lift Pass. The best way of purchasing a Lift Pass is by doing it online. You can change your booking up until one day before the set day.

Via the SkiStar app you can also charge your Lift Pass if you already have the physical plastic card. If you don’t have the card, you can book one via the app and pick it up at one of the automatic machines that are placed next to the lifts.
