Concert Sofia Karlsson – Nordic Soundscapes in Storlien

Welcome to the Nordic Soundscapes Evening Concerts 2026! Enjoy three unforgettable evenings of live music, folk dance workshops, the Choir Singers’ Pub, and an Open Stage featuring folk musicians and spontaneous dancing. The festivities run from 17:00 until late.

17:00 – Try Folk Dancing
If you missed Friday’s folk dance workshop, here’s another chance to learn the basics. The instructors’ enthusiasm and expertise will have you feeling confident and ready to join the weekend’s dancing.

19:00 – Under Your Sky
A choral suite for mixed choir, piano, and solo instrument exploring the relationship between people and nature, responsibility, and spirituality. The music conveys trust, belonging, hope, and a sense of meaning.

21:00 – Sofia Karlsson (Solo Concert)
One of Sweden’s most acclaimed and sought-after live performers, Sofia Karlsson is an exceptional singer and multi-instrumentalist. Since the release of her breakthrough album Svarta Ballader in 2005, she has recorded eleven albums, toured extensively, and built one of Sweden’s most respected and enduring musical careers.

Karlsson has received four Swedish Grammy Awards and two Danish Grammy Awards, as well as honors including the Prince Eugen Culture Award, the City of Stockholm Composer Honorary Award, and the 2025 Selma Lagerlöf Scholarship.
