Representing Åre

Representing Åre in every possible context is one of the areas our members value most. Åre Destination plays an important role in advocating for our members' interests and driving initiatives that strengthen the destination and the business community as a whole. At the same time, our members help shape our priorities by influencing which issues we focus on.

We work closely with representatives from the municipality and the region to ensure Åre remains part of the conversation when decisions are made on issues that affect the destination—such as transportation to and from Åre. We also bring people together around shared challenges that don't have a clear owner but are important for Åre's continued development.

Each year, Åre Destination welcomes around 15–20 study visits from organizations interested in learning how Åre has evolved from a small winter resort into a thriving year-round destination. We also plan and host press visits for journalists who want to experience and share the stories, people, and places that make Åre unique.
