GOOD TO KNOW
- Parking is free in Björnen and Duved during the market. Park your vehicle and take the bus to Åre centre to avoid crowding.
- Buy your bus ticket in the Länstrafiken app. Download the app in good time before you need to use it (more information below).
- Ticket prices are reduced by 50% för children aged 7 to 19 years of age.
- SkiStar’s All Year Lift Pass is not valid as a ticket this particular weekend.
- Furry friends are allowed on the bus, just take a seat at the rear of the bus.
TRAVEL REGIONALLY
It is preferable to travel by train or bus to Åre as traffic is rather dense this weekend. For regional trains from Umeå via Sundsvall to Åre, please visit norrtag.se where you can see routes, timetables and book your tickets. For regional buses, go to Länstrafiken Jämtland for time tables, routes and tickets.
PARKING
During the Åre Autumn Market weekend, local parking rules and fees apply. It will be difficult to find parking in the centre of Åre so we recommend using the regional and local buses and trains as well as the market shuttle buses (see below), to reduce the risk of gridlocks.
SHUTTLE BUSES
Regional bus company Länstrafiken traffic the route from Björnen to Åre and Duved to Åre (and back) during the Autumn Market. Buses depart every half hour and run as long as the market is open. Pay in the Länstrafiken app (download in good time before departure).
