A Tip! Adjust your shopping schedule
To shop during the quieter hours and days is a great way to avoid crowds. During certain days and time of the day there are more people in the village and in the shops. Therefore, it might be a good idea to adjust your shopping accordingly.
During weekdays between 11.00 and 12.30 CET and 15.00 and 18.00 CET the shops are usually quite busy and there are a lot of people moving about, especially in the food stores. Many holiday makers arrive on Thursday afternoons which means many choose to make their purchases that day.
When the lifts close for the day there is usually more people in the center of Åre. The same goes for arrival days as many need to pick up their rental gear in central Åre.
