Coffee stops for your bike tour
Regardless whether your prefer Gravel or Country Road Cycling, there are plenty of great, and tasty, stops to make along the way in Åre. Fill up on coffee, waffles and freshly baked bread or pastries. We have listed some places to try out here!
Bergstugan Fröå Gruva (Fröå Mine)
Ride your bike to beautifully situated Bergstugan in Fröå via the gravel roads in Björnen and fill up on waffles or Swedish fika.
Kretsloppshuset in Mörsil
Make sure to make a stop at this popular ecologically profiled café and restaurant. It’s situated along the E14 and a close-by gravel road and offers food, fika and a great little boutique.
Copperhill Mountain Lodge
On top of Förberget in Björnen, you’ll find the hotel Copperhill Mountain Lodge sporting the grandest view around. Ride your bike uphill along the asphalt roads from Björnen and have an espresso and something energizing to eat at the top of the hill.
Crowded House
Crowded House is situated right in the middle of Åre Bike Park Trail in Björnen. It’s a much-appreciated lunch restaurant with great atmosphere so ride your bike towards the residential area in Sadeln (from Björnen center), and have a well-deserved pause.
Bageri Krus in Undersåker
This little and well-renowned bakery only has a few seats outside so you can have a quick sit-down and enjoy freshly made sandwiches and/or a sweet treat. Krus is situated right next to an asphalt road but there are great gravel routes close by.
Fjällsätra in Undersåker
This hotel and restaurant has seen generations come and go and has an air of history about it. Owners My and Wille offer great hospitality as well as lunch, after bike and fika, and a room if you feel like staying over.
Spiragården in Undersåker
Café Spiragården is a vegetarian and vegan feel-good café, where most things are organic. Here you can have coffee indoors or out on a wonderfully generous porch nestled in lush greenery. Here you will find waffles, sweet and savory, homemade coffee bread, sandwiches, salad etc. Perhaps you stay for a yoga class too?
