Adventure Pools – Indoors & Out
HOLIDAY CLUB | OUTDOOR SWIMMING
If you’re not afraid of cold water, the river Ullån’s natural water slide is a real kick. Small pools and stone slabs eroded into slides, lined with plenty of solar thermal stones for sunbathing. For those not into cold water, there’s an indoor waterslide and adventure pools at Holiday Club Sports & Swim World.
Downhill Biking
Ride down Mt. Åreskutan the best way ever. Get your gear on, warm-up in the green trails, then on to the blues, and so on. Everything you need for downhill biking can be found on the Biking Åre website.
Hit a Ball
Padel, tennis, pickle ball, golf simulator…Åre Sportcenter in Duved offers a variety of fun activities to which you can challenge your friends or family and spend the day practicing your swing.
Go to the Spa
Explore the sauna world and relax area at Holiday Club Sport & Swim World. Relax in the outdoor hot tub, or float in the pool or hang out on a sofa in the Level Spa Copperhill. Or find another spot where you can relax or get a treatment.
White Water Rafting
Join JoPe Fors & Fjäll on a whirlwind rafting tour in a rubber boat on rushing waters. Teamwork is a must on board. Fast, wet and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Head to Rypetoppen
Just across the border in Norway is one of Norway’s largest climbing parks – Rypetoppen. The car journey there takes about an hour and is well worth it.
High Altitude Fin
Book a slot and try out Skistar’s Climbing Park in Björnen. The courses are as high as 12 metres up, there are 10 courses, 80 obstacles and 11 ziplines where you can test your abilities and your vertigo. Have fun!
Eat Ice Cream
Eat ice cream made from the milk from Åredalen’s dairy cows at Grädda or Åre Bakery, or try another of the many cafés and bakeries available. We guarantee a really tasty experience!
Go Canoeing, Kayaking or try SUP
Rent a canoe, a SUP or kayak and head out on the lake. Find a secluded beach, enjoy life and bring a maybe bring fishing rod you. Canoes can be found at Camp Åre and kayaks at ATI Mountain Experience.
Hang out in Ullådalen
Pack a picnic and head to Ullådalen. Take Trail 203 towards Mullfjället for a bit and enjoy the view. Take a dip in one of Ullån’s natural potholes or suntan on the side. If nothing else, lie down, watch the clouds blow by, listen to the water and enjoy nature.
Try Swedish Fika
Sit at a café and discuss the essentials of life while enjoying something super tasty. There are loads of cafés in Åre, so check them out till you find the one for you.
Try Climbing
Climbing is actually part of the Swedish National Skicross Team’s regular training protocol because it makes you agile, strong and courageous. And it’s great fun. At JumpYard and Åre Klätterhall (Åre Climbing hall) you can try climbing with a rope and at the latter you can also try free climbing (bouldering).
Go Shopping
SHOPPING IN ÅRE
Last, but not least. If money’s burning a hole in your wallet or credit card a shopping trip in the village will sort it out. Most shops are located around the square and in Åre Central Station.
