Åre Höstmarknad is a colorful festival where more than 150 exhibitors, local producers, visitors and locals come together to make the autumn’s most vibrant market. Against a backdrop of vibrant autumn colors, Åre, Duved and Björnen comes alive with the buzzling of live music, commerce, a vast range of products, happenings and more.

Åre Höstmarknad’s Market Arenas
The Main Market Lane
Location: Årevägen & Åre Torg. You’ll find the market lane along Årevägen, via Åre torg (Åre Square), starting at Åre’s Old Church and ending at the western end of Årevägen.
Marknadsstråket is the center of Åre Höstmarknad. It centers around Åre Square and this is where you’ll find all the exhibitors displaying their high quality handicrafts. One focus of the market is to provide the visitors with well-made handicrafts and other products.
The Food Court
Location: Åre Park, between Åre Square and the old station house. Follow the market lane, turn downwards between Werséns and Peak Performance, or start from the old station house and head up to the park via the stone steps.
For the duration of the market, Åre park is transformed into a food court full of tasty options for hungry visitors. Sit down and enjoy the ambience while tasting a choice of the high quality ready-made meals and food produce made by the market’s food producers.
The Children’s Market
Location: Kyrklägdan, the grass field right next to Åre Church, right next to the start of the main market lane. Starting at Åre Square, follow the main market lane east towards Åre’s .
The Children’s Market is, needless to say, for the children, and is full of entertainment meant for the youngest market visitors. The program is packed with activities, DIYs and more to keep children of most ages entertained.
Björnen & Duved
Location: Björnen & Duved center (You find Björnen to the east and Duved to the west of Åre, along the E14).
Åre Höstmarknad is an opportunity to visit neighbouring Björnen and Duved where more stuff is happening. Local businesses organize competitions, music quizzes, flea markets and much more.
Good to know
Local businesses often offer sales and discounts, activities and taster sessions of their products and services during Åre Höstmarknad. Check the program to get an idea of other events that might be of interest. The 2025 program will be displayed on this website when it’s set.
During the market parts of Åre village will be closed for regular traffic. Parking zones are available in Björnen and Duved, where you can take the bus to and from central Åre and the main market area. Coming from Trondheim or Östersund, buses and trains are available and preferable as there’s a lot of traffic in Åre this weekend.
Most exhibitors and vendors at the market don’t accept credit cards. Therefore, cash is the preferred payment method. There are ATMs in the railway station, at the Coop grocery store and by the village square. To avoid waiting in line, make sure to prepare your cash withdrawal before you arrive to the market.
