#1 Bergstugan Fröå Gruva

Bergstugan is located in the livestock and mill area at the historic mines of Fröå Gruva. They serve a lunch buffet, sandwiches, crispy summer waffles, homemade goods, coffee and have beautiful views of the mountain Åreskutan. How to get there >>

#2 Buustamons Fjällgård

On the way up to Ullådalen lies Buustamons Fjällgård just at the foot of the mountain. To hike here you can take trail 210. Stay over night, enjoy a well cooked dinner or just take a break for some coffee, hot chocolate and home baked sweets. Check opening hours in advance >>

#3 Åre Hembygdsgård

Less than three kilometres west of Åre Square lies Åre Hembygdsgård, the beautiful 19th-century farmhouses of Åre. Overlooking Mt. Åreskutan and with the calming sound of the rippling Ullån stream, enjoy homemade traditional flatbreads and baked goods, juice and coffee in the café.

#4 Crowded House in Björnen

When you’ve climbed to the top of the Stubinen bike trail and are just charging to speed down the flowy curves in the forest, you can take a detour to the right for coffee, ice cream or a proper lunch, at the tipi tent Crowded House. Their menu offers everything from burgers, smørrebrød (traditional Scandinavian sandwiches) and Caesar salad to tasty buns from Grädda, raw food sweets and ice cream. If you’re not in a hurry, you can throw some bocce balls on their court with a view of the valley, together with something cold to drink.

#5 Åre Strand glass & våffla

Right by the beach promenade along Lake Åresjön is this café, Åre Strand glass & våffla, that serves ice cream in a large variety of flavors, waffles and coffee. There is also an outlet store in the barn where you can find outdoor clothing and more.
