Åre Bike Park Trail in Björnen offers fun and easily accessible mountain biking for the whole family in a fantastic mountain environment.
In the summer of 2017, a completely new network of trails for trail biking began to take shape in Björnen. Today, Åre Bike Park Trail, as the area is called, has developed into about 18 trails together with both a pump track and a skills area. And the best thing is that more trails are underway and will be built within the next few years.
Park the car and within a few minutes you’ll on your bike in nature. The machine-dug trails are well marked, wide, flat and with few roots and stones. To keep the trails, dry and protect the environment, bridges, footpaths and a drainage system have all been built. The climbs are just steep enough so as not to tire out the cyclist unnecessarily and the slopes’ role nicely with well-adapted velodrome curves. In other words, the new trails are suitable for most cyclists. Both children and adults will have really fun cycling together and be able to develop at their own pace.
Graniten is a long and wonderful flowing trail that is filled with nice velodrome curves, fun jumps and comfortable rolls to put a smile on the face of any cyclist.
If you want to develop as a cyclist, there is both a fun pump track and a skill area with obstacles adapted for all ages. And if you want help getting your cycling to the next level, Åre’s bike rental offers technique courses in trail cycling. When you want to take a break and catch your breath, there are several restaurants in the area that have both cold drinks, ice cream or hot food. If you want to BBQ, there is of course room for that too.
