BIKING IN ÅRE
With 853 meters of vertical drop, Åre Bike Park Downhill is one of Europe’s largest bike parks. Here, barren mountain peaks meet ancient mountain birch forests, designed for both flow and adrenaline. Åre Bike Park Trail, which has evolved in Björnen, offers winding forest trails with varying challenges that attract curious beginners – and technical riders seeking more demanding obstacles. The cycling season in Åre blooms long before winter has ended. Gravel cyclists challenge the seasons and can be seen along the roads well before the first bike lift opens, and road cyclists flock to the roads as soon as the late winter slush has been swept away. For those who stick to the roads, the cycling season is both remarkably long and truly beautiful.
June

August delivers lift-accessed cycling every day throughout the month. There are fewer people around, leaving more space for those who want to experience true freedom. Come to Åre on weekdays – that’s the local tip for 2025 – never before have the lifts been open as much as this year!
September
September surprises many who have never experienced autumn in the mountains before – it’s a spectacle that charms most with its crisp air and magnificent colors. Cycling in Åre in September is like riding through a painting. Some days are most beautiful high up on the mountain, while other days beckon you to dizzying forest rides.
