In Vålådalen next to Åre, the cross-country skiing tracks open already on October 12 with 5 km tracks for both classic skiing and skating. The snow has been saved since last winter.
The tracks are open daily at 06-22, with electric lighting during the darker hours.
Ski equipment can be rented in the sports shop in Vålådalen, you can also enjoy waffles or lunch in the mountain station’s restaurant, or take a sauna to end the tour.
