There is plenty of captivating water in Årefjällen and just as many water activities to try. Swimming in a mountain stream can be a life changer, but there are plenty of other activities to do on and in the water around Åre as well. Check out the list below to find your favourite activity.

Bathing

You may not hear of long, white-stretched sandy beaches and palm trees in connection with Åre, but there are plenty of breath-taking natural baths and cooling rapids in and around Åre village. If you prefer to swim in a pool, there are pools at Holiday Club and Copperhill. Here you’ll find natural bathing spots in Åre >>

White Water Rafting

Throw yourself into surging rapids and feel the white water around you! Sit with your group and an experienced guide in an inflatable raft that follows the currents down the rapids. Fishing

Fishing is a meditative activity both alone and in groups! You must have a fishing license and information on where to rent a boat can be found at the Tourist Office.
